THE HONEY BADGER

A Charity Fundraiser for Pagoda Patches & Nina

A one-of-a-kind handmade blade, designed by Carl and Nina, created to support a family facing the fight of their lives.

Some projects mean more than others. The Honey Badger is one of them.

Carl from Pagoda Patches has been part of the Mad Jack Blades story for a long time. He carries out all our custom engraving, bringing designs to life and adding details that have become part of the identity of our blades. His craftsmanship, support and friendship have helped shape Mad Jack into what it is today. Without Carl, Mad Jack Blades simply wouldn’t be the same.

His 16-year-old daughter, Nina, has been diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (B-ALL). She has begun treatment and faces a long and difficult journey ahead, with the illness also affecting her bones and spine. Alongside the demands of treatment, the family faces the added pressure of travel, hospital visits and everyday living costs.

No family should have to carry that burden alone. So, together with Carl and Nina, we’ve created something new.

THE HONEY BADGER

This is a brand-new Mad Jack Blades design, conceived by Carl and Nina specifically for this fundraiser.

The name comes with a description from Carl himself:

“It’s a scrappy, vicious little bastard that absolutely refuses to lose!”

A fitting name for a blade created in support of a young girl facing a fight no one should have to endure.

THE BUILD

  • Blade steel: British 1084 high-carbon steel

  • Finish: Cerakote H-Series Gold

Every detail has been considered, from the gold finish to the distinctive handle and precision pins. This is a one-off build created for a purpose beyond the workshop.

The winner will receive this unique Honey Badger blade, with their choice of sheath.

HOW TO ENTER

The Honey Badger will be awarded through a prize draw to raise funds for Nina and her family.

Every £1 donated = 1 entry into the prize draw.

The more you donate, the more entries you receive. The more you donate, the more entries you receive.

WHERE THE MONEY GOES

Every penny raised will go towards supporting Carl, Nina and their family.

The funds will help ease the financial pressure of travel, fuel, hospital visits, food and household bills while the family concentrates on Nina’s treatment and recovery.

This is not a profit project. The purpose is to support a friend, his daughter and a family going through an incredibly difficult time.

Carl has given so much of his time, skill and support to others, including Mad Jack Blades. Now it’s our turn to give something back.

ONE BLADE. ONE FAMILY. ONE COMMUNITY.

This fundraiser is about more than winning a blade. It’s about friendship, loyalty and people coming together when one of their own needs help.

If you’re able to contribute, every donation makes a difference. If you can’t donate, sharing the fundraiser can help it reach someone who can.

Let’s get behind Carl and Nina and show them they aren’t facing this alone.
