This collaboration between Mad Jack Blades and the Wild Geese Explorers Club brings together two traditions that share the same foundation: resilience, independence, and a deep respect for the spirit of exploration.
For centuries, British explorers, soldiers and pioneers carried simple, dependable steel into the unknown. From dense African bush to remote mountain passes, survival depended on skill, grit and the tools at hand.
This blade follows that tradition.
Designed as a hard-use bushcraft and field knife, it moves away from the tactical focus of many Mad Jack designs and instead embraces the needs of the outdoorsman, explorer and adventurer. A blade for firecraft, camp work, field preparation and the kind of environments where reliability matters most.
Every knife is handmade in the UK and built to the same uncompromising standards that define Mad Jack Blades — tools inspired by history and made to endure real use.
Steel: British 1084 High Carbon Steel
Hardness: 59–60 HRC
Thickness: 4mm
1084 high carbon steel is widely respected for its toughness, edge stability and ease of sharpening in the field, making it a favourite among outdoorsmen and bushcraft users.
Heat treated to 59–60 HRC, the blade balances edge retention with resilience, ensuring dependable performance in demanding environments.
The 4mm stock thickness provides the strength required for hard outdoor tasks while maintaining excellent cutting ability.
Blade Finish: Magpul OD Green Cerakote H-Series
Handle: Dark Brown African Birch Stabilised Wood
Sheath: Rhodesian Camouflage Kydex Sheath
Every Mad Jack blade is individually crafted by hand in the United Kingdom.
Each knife is ground, finished and assembled with a focus on strength, balance and long-term reliability — tools built to be used, not simply admired.
Mad Jack Blades exists to honour the heritage of those who came before us: the soldiers, pioneers and explorers who carried steel when it mattered most.
